About The SEND Friend

I support families navigating the SEND system, offering calm, informed and practical guidance at every stage. I am safeguarding trained, DBS-checked and fully insured, providing professional and reliable support to the families I work with.

I am a late-diagnosed neurodivergent adult, and my journey into SEND advocacy began in 2020 through my own experience of navigating the EHCP process for my children — two very different young people: one with significant developmental delays, and one who is academically able but experiences mental health challenges.

These personal experiences sparked a deep commitment to understanding SEND law and the systems families must navigate.

My work is grounded in lived experience, integrity and a strong commitment to fairness. I understand first-hand how isolating and exhausting the SEND journey can be, and I approach every family with empathy, respect and transparency.

I am parent-led, child-focused and practical in my approach. I don’t make promises I can’t keep, and I work collaboratively with families to ensure their voices are heard and their children’s needs are properly recognised.

I am committed to continually developing my knowledge through training and ongoing CPD so I can offer families clear, accurate and up-to-date guidance.

I provide clear, practical and compassionate support to parents navigating EHCP applications, school communication, evidence gathering and Tribunal preparation.

This includes reviewing paperwork, helping families understand reports, preparing for meetings, drafting correspondence and supporting Tribunal cases where needed.

My services are designed to be accessible and affordable, recognising the emotional and financial pressures many families face. 

I work alongside parents to build confidence, strengthen their case and ensure their child’s needs remain central at every stage.
